Bluesight is looking for an Engineering Manager to help us redefine and grow our suite of healthcare data products to further the company's mission of "Medication Intelligence". Our hospital and pharmacy customers rely on us to keep their patients safe and their pharmacies running smoothly while delighting them with every release. By streamlining their pharmacy's daily routines with our RFID inventory management solution and reducing risk and enhancing their compliance with our controlled substance tracking platform, we're committed to improving medication management for our nation's healthcare providers, and our data operations and products are the backbone of our offerings. 

The opportunity

Bluesight is seeking an Engineering Manager to help us build the next generation of healthcare pharmacy e-commerce. We have high visibility into the pharmacy supply chain which enables us to provide ordering insights that help hospital buyers make optimal purchasing decisions. This is a people-management position that will have a heavy technical impact on the e-commerce product, helping hospitals across the country.

You can expect to:

  • Lead our e-commerce and platform teams with the goals of creating a cohesive team while delivering value on a greenfield project

  • Leverage your engineering skills in helping the teams architect and implement features of the ecommerce platform

  • Participate in design and code reviews across both teams

About you:

  • Love of leading people and creating great software teams

  • Proven track record of leading a team to produce results and have fun

  • History of developing software at an enterprise level

  • Recent deep experience in Node.JS, Python, or React

  • Knowledge of HTTP and REST API principles

  • Knowledge of front-end componentization

  • Well-versed in AWS cloud-first architectures and scaling components

  • Exemplification of our core values (Get Stuff Done, Join Forces, Honor the Customer, Redefine Possible, and Have Fun)

Nice to have:

  • Experience leading remote teams

  • Experience with high scale e-commerce solutions

  • Experience in AWS value-added services like Kinesis, Serverless, etc.

  • Knowledge of EDI

  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical supply chain

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

The standard base pay range for this role is $170,000 - $200,000 when annualized. In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards. Actual amounts and salary will vary depending on the position offered, experience, performance, and location.

This position is a remote position and open to applicants in the continental United States.
