enrollmentFUEL · Front-End Developer

POSITION OVERVIEW

The developer is responsible for all programming aspects of the services enrollmentFUEL provides to client-partners. Whenever possible, all aspects will be contained within the enrollmentFUEL technology platform. The developer will work closely with project managers to ensure timely delivery of the electronic product. Communication with client-partners' IT departments and web services is required. Developer must ensure that all components of marketing automation workflows work together and deliver marketing information and elements promptly.

POSITION OUTCOME

  • Ensure integrity of enrollmentFUEL services throughout the cycle of marketing campaigns and touchpoints (email, landing pages, SMS messaging, ringless voicemail, website tracking, and direct mail)
  • Build and maintain marketing automation workflows in the enrollmentFUEL technology platform
  • Manage and maintain data integrity throughout the workflow
  • Analyze/debug problems with workflow configuration/structure
  • Create responsive landing pages and emails from static Adobe Illustrator designs
  • Communicate with both technical and non-technical personnel
  • Suggest/recommend added features and better methods

REQUIRED SKILLS, TRAITS, AND ABILITIES

Minimum Entry Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years' experience in web programming and technologies, preferably in a higher education or marketing environment. 
  • Advanced knowledge of computer programs and software is a must. 
  • Proficiency with HTML/CSS/JavaScript programming, marketing automation platforms, Adobe Illustrator, and similar tools required. 
  • Advanced knowledge of web browser, email clients, and web technologies required. 
  • Marketo Engage experience preferred. 
  • Familiarity with printing terms and equipment preferred.
  • Strong oral, listening, and written communication skills and the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical personnel experience are mandatory.
  • Must be self-sufficient in decision-making skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure, handle many tasks at once, and adapt to a rapidly changing environment is essential.
  • Must be outgoing and have good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Job Tasks:

  • Convert static Adobe Illustrator designs to HTML
  • Add dynamic elements to static design where necessary
  • Ensure landing pages and emails are user friendly for target audience age group
  • Ensure landing pages and emails are device friendly for both mobile and desktop experiences
  • Configure/construct workflows in the enrollmentFUEL technology platform
  • Collaborate with client-partner IT departments to configure DNS entries for hosting and securing landing pages on and sending emails from the enrollmentFUEL technology platform
  • Collaborate with client-partner web services department to add tracking code for enrollmentFUEL services to the client-partner's website
  • Monitor active workflows and ensure user experience is conducive to recruiting atmosphere
  • Recognize potential weaknesses in campaign structure and content and suggest improvements
  • Develop back-end programs to support/facilitate enhanced user experience
  • Hang tassels
  • Other duties as assigned

5% - Attending meetings and conferences

5% - Administrative tasks—email, non-microsite related programming

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Individual must be able to stand or sit, in alternating fashion, for extended periods of time. 
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds. 
  • Must be able to wear a headset for phone work.
