We’re looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join our ever-growing tech team.

We want this person to possess a broad range of technical skills from backend development through to an understanding of key infrastructure, including AWS, Kubernetes and DevOps processes. This opportunity is perfect for a genuine techie, living and breathing all things tech. You’ll love building things and will likely have an interest in security and/or AI. You’ll be self-motivated, driven, work well under pressure and love challenging yourself.

Day in the life

Designing and implementing innovative features for CultureAI’s SaaS product and its supporting tools, with assistance from the team of UX designers
Giving input on DevOps tools and the direction of the overall service architecture
Shaping the technology, tools, and direction of the business.
Finding, troubleshooting, communicating, and overcoming a whole range of technical issues.

What you bring to the team

5+ Years commercial development experience
Great independent problem-solving abilities, you should be able to take a problem from first detection to solution implementation without worry
Understanding of Linux based systems, Kubernetes, Docker or similar
PHP 7+ in a highly object orientated fashion, with MVC, MVVM or FCP knowledge
MySQL 5.7, especially with exciting new MySQL 8 features like recursive queries
Experience working with PHP MVC Frameworks such as Laravel, Lumen, Symfony, or in-house ones you have worked on the fundamentals of
Experience using a variety of templating engines such as Blade, Mustache, etc
Experience developing, working with, and standardising Restful APIs
Front-end development skills, design skills are not required. Must include modern CSS such as flexbox, media queries, functions, etc in addition to JavaScript (ECMAScript 6+) and HTML5
Experience working in or with a cloud-based hosting solution such as AWS, Azure, UKFast
Clear, confident communication skills and an ability to work independently or in a team
Thorough understanding of Git, including branching strategies, forced rollbacks
