Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity available for a Lead Application Developer located at our corporate office in Bloomington, MN. The Lead Application Developer will design, develop, enhance, test, support, maintain and debug software applications that support Franchisee Support Center business processes and franchisee facing tools. Utilize latest development technologies to solve for business requirements. Provide strategic technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives and technology stack. Collaborate with internal and external technology teams to deliver software on time and within budget. Monitor and enhance the stability and performance of the existing applications.
Some of the basic activities that this key role will oversee and may encounter are as follows: platform assessments, solution architecture/design, scoping/requirements analysis, process analysis, security analysis/remediation, custom development, SaaS platform extensions, API integrations, SSO, system testing and UAT coordination, vendor coordination, resource and budget planning/tracking, vendor assessments, maintenance of technical standards and data risk matrix.
Principal Accountabilities:
Hands-on Development & Technical Work
- Design, develop, and test system solutions to address business requirements, in alignment with the IT Strategy
- Establish standard coding practices, standard development lifecycle, and proper promotion of code to production through QA environments.
- Provide support to end users for issue resolution, user acceptance testing, and occasionally training.
Solution Architecture & Design
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, Business Functional Leads, and super users for practical application suite of Enterprise systems.
- Collaborate with business users to gain a deep understanding of their business processes and requirements.
- Translate business requirements into solution designs and build and implement systems and technical solutions.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure solution designs are well integrated and aligned to the overall enterprise architecture
- Research new technology for potential application.
Project Scoping, Coordination & Analysis
- Collaborates with Project Management team to ensure project management framework is followed to have consistency in project intake, scoping, prioritization, resource planning, and status communication.
- Acts as point of escalation for issues regarding performance or competing priorities in Enterprise systems
Vendor Coordination and Communication
Collaborates with vendors to develop solutions to support the requirements of the business and our customers.
Qualifications

High School diploma or equiv.

Ability to effectively lead and manage cross-functional team members

Experience in producing solution architecture and design

Strong experience building software solutions using C#, VB.Net, SQL and object-oriented best practices

At least 7 years of experience in design and development of technology solutions

At least 7 years of experience with Microsoft Stack (.NET framework, MVC, ASP.NET, VB.Net, C#)

At least 5 years of experience in any of the following SDLC methodologies (agile, waterfall, scrum)

At least 2 years of experience developing SQL scripts/procedures

At least 2 years of development experience in Microsoft Power Platform - Power Apps, Power Automate/Flow, and Power BI (Preferred)

Knowledge of Azure infrastructure, capabilities, and Cloud basics
