Sentera builds an in-season field analysis platform called FieldAgent®. Growers, agronomists, seed retailers, and supply chain managers use the FieldAgent® platform to understand the story of a field from planting to harvest. Position Profile:

As a Mobile Engineer at Sentera you will implement the user experience of pilots as they step up to the edge of a field to capture data and gain insights about the health of crops. You will primarily write code in Swift and Objective-C while collaborating with a team of Senior Engineers and Product professionals accustomed to high usability and quality standards.

Our FieldAgent iOS application embraces cutting edge tools and technologies that push the limits of what we can learn from aerial imagery at the edge of a field. Core Responsibilities:

  • Create modular components, consume APIs, write tests in Swift, Objective-C, and C
  • Implement user experiences from sketches and mockups
  • Develop Machine Learning pipelines on iOS and iPad devices
  • Research and follow the ML and GIS ecosystems to anticipate technical opportunities
  • Act as the engineer on-call for FieldAgent® iOS: helping drone pilots and agronomists achieve their goals


  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Agile/Scrum development experience
  • The ability to write unit, functional, and integration tests
  • Humility, curiosity, and a passion for product
  • Communication skills that shine in code review, Slack, and stand up

Preferred Technologies & Skills:

  • Languages: Swift, Obj-C, C, C++

  • Development Environment: Xcode

  • Operating Systems: MacOS, iPadOS

  • Libraries: MapKit, UIKit, and CoreBluetooth

  • DJI Mobile SDK

  • GraphQL APIs

  • Deep interest in Machine Learning and Computer Vision
